Cristian Alexis Montaño Castillo (born 11 December 1991 in Cali, Colombia,[2] and known as Cristian Montano) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder or forward for Dagenham & Redbridge on loan from West Ham United.

Montaño moved to London as a child and holds nationality of both Colombia and the United Kingdom.[3][4] He has pledged any future international career to Colombia and models himself on Faustino Asprilla.[5]
Montaño joined West Ham as an under-12 player,[3] signing his first professional contract in 2010.
In August 2011, he signed a one-month loan deal with Notts County.[6] Montaño made his debut on 9 August 2011 in a League Cup game against Nottingham Forest, which Notts County lost on penalties after the game had finished 3–3.[7] [8] Montaño made his league debut and scored his first goal for Notts County on 13 August in a 2–1 home defeat to Charlton Athletic.[9] In September 2011 his loan with Notts County was extended until 9 October.[10] His loan with Notts County ended in October and he returned to West Ham.[11]
On 13 October, Montaño signed a one-month loan deal with Swindon Town.[12] He made his debut for Swindon on 15 October, scoring the second goal in a 2–0 away win against Accrington Stanley. [13] In November, his loan was cut short and he returned to West Ham having scored one goal in four appearances.[14]
On 17 November, Montaño signed a one month loan deal with Dagenham & Redbridge,[15] scoring on his debut on 19 November in a 3–2 home defeat to Southend United.[16] The Daggers extended Montano's loan for a further month on 20 December.[17]
